Suitable For

Nimokain contains nimesulide and lidocaine as active substances, and is in the group called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, whichare used topically.
Nimokain is a product in the form of liquid gel, and each tube contains 1% nimesulide and 5% lidocaine.
Nimokain is effective in the treatment of:
– lumbar pain, artritis of joints, inflammation of soft tissue sorrounding joints, inflammation of tendon and its sheath, inflammation of bursae around joints, traumatic, degenerative and rheumatic diseases of soft tissues and joints accompained by sprains and bruises as sports injuries.

Do not use Nimokain if:
– you are allergic to any of the active ingredients of Nimokain gel;
– drugs containing acetylsalicylic acid or other drugs in the group called NSAIDs cause asthma, allergic nasal flow, skin redness and itching, swelling on soft tissues such as eyelids, external genital organs, lips and toungue, nasal polyp.
– you are in the first or last trimester of pregnancy.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are in the first or in the last trimester of pregnancy do not use Nimokain gel. Only your doctor can decide wether you may use Nimokain during other periods of your pregnancy.
Lidocaine, one of the main ingredients of Nimokain transfers into breast milk slightly. It is unknown if nimesulide transfers into breast milk. Therefore it is not recommended to use this drug during lactation.

If any of the following side effects occurs discontinue Nimokain use and immediately inform your doctor:
– severe skin rash;
– swelling on face, lips, tongue and throat, difficulty in breathing;
– cardiac arrythmia and cardiovascular collapse.

This is an OTC medicine, so it can be taken without a doctor’s recommendation.
Before using this medicine carefully read the package leaflet as it contains more detailed information.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist for any doubt.

Unless otherwise recommended by your doctor, apply Nimokain gel in the affected area 3 or 4 times per day.
Do not apply bandaging or occlusion during treatment with Nimokain.
Do not apply Nimokain on the affected area by rubbing strongly.
Do not apply Nimokain on armpits.
Nimokain should not be used in children younger than 12 years old.
