Civral is used to treat skin infections caused by Herpes Simplex where we mention: primary and recurrent genital infection (Herpes Genitalis), and Herpes labialis.Contraindications:Civral is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to acyclovir, galacyclovir, propylene glycol or any of the other ingredients present in the formulation.Pregnancy and breastfeedingThere are no data and studies on the use of acyclovir in pregnancy, so it should be used only in cases where the doctor deems it reasonable by assessing the risk-benefit ratio.In cases where acyclovir is used systemically it has been observed to pass into breast milk. Civral cream should be applied 5 times a day at intervals of approximately 4 hours.It should be applied to the affected lesions or areas as soon as possible after the infection begins.Treatment must continue for at least 5 days and up to a maximum of 1 if there is no healing.
