Asperidol Protect gastro-resistant tablets contain acetylsalicylic acid, which in low doses belongs to a group of medicines called antiplatelet agents.
Indications:
-Asperidol Protect is taken to reduce the risk of blood clots forming and thereby prevents further:
*heart attacks;
*strokes;
*cardiovascular problems in patients who suffer from stable or unstable angina.
This medicine is not intended for emergencies.
It can be used only as a preventive treatment.
Do not take Asperidol Protect if you:
-are allergic to aspirin, other salicylates or anyother ingredient of this tablet;
-have had asthma attack or swelling at some part of the body after taking salicylates;
-have peptic or duodenal ulcers, hemophilia, thrombocytopenia or other bleeding tendencies;
-have severe kidney or liver impairment;
-are receiving oral coagulant therapy, or methotrexates in doses higher than 15 mg per week.
Pregnancy and breastfeedingConsult your doctor or pharmacist before you take any drug.
Asperidol Protect is excreted in breast milk, for this reason it should not be used while you breastfeed.
Do not use it if you are pregnant, unless it is prescribed by your doctor.
Like all medicines Asperdiol Protect can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
This is an OTC medicine, so it can be taken without a doctor's recommendation.
